Recognizing a crisis
海角社区’s emergency and acute care services teams provide specialized support to youth, adults and families who are showing signs of mental health issues that threaten stability within the home, school or community settings. Symptoms may include, but are not limited to:
- Anger
- Self-injury
- Suicidal or homicidal thoughts or behavior
- Extreme parent/child conflict
- Seeing or hearing things
- Depression or anxiety
Mobile Response Team (MRT)
Our Mobile Response Team (MRT) provides immediate crisis intervention for individuals, families and communities throughout Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton counties.
- Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Responds within 60 minutes by phone or in person
- Provides on-site support wherever you are
MRT works to:
- Reduce trauma
- Prevent unnecessary hospitalizations
- Divert individuals from emergency rooms or the justice system
After the crisis, the team connects individuals to ongoing care, including therapy, substance use treatment and psychiatric services
Central Receiving Facility (CRF)
海角社区鈥檚 Central Receiving Facility (CRF) serves adults in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties who are experiencing a mental health crisis and may need a聽Baker Act or Marchman Act screening. Our team:
- Provides crisis screening and assessment
- Stabilizes individuals in a safe setting
- Connects patients to appropriate inpatient or follow-up care
The CRF ensures a coordinated, streamlined response and helps individuals transition quickly to the next level of care.
