For Chad Gornick, technology isn鈥檛 the end goal, it鈥檚 the tool. What motivates him most is using his IT expertise to support the people and mental health services that make 海角社区鈥檚 mission possible.
Chad earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Information Technology, followed by a master鈥檚 degree in Instructional Design and Technology. He joined 海角社区 in 2019 as a Senior Programmer Analyst, bringing with him a strong technical foundation.
Over time, his curiosity grew beyond systems and dashboards. He became increasingly drawn to how data could support real people and real outcomes鈥攍eading him to transition from IT into Behavioral Health as a Senior Data & Reporting Analyst.
Surrounded by leaders and team members, Chad found himself learning just as much as he was contributing. 鈥淟eadership has been incredibly supportive, especially when it comes to taking what I鈥檓 learning and applying it here to make our programs stronger.鈥
Earlier this year, his dedication, adaptability and growing impact were recognized with a promotion to Senior Data Analytics Manager.
Chad now focuses on advancing a data鈥慸riven culture across the organization. His work spans analytics initiatives, executive and program-level reporting, staff training resources and key performance indicator (KPI) development鈥攅nsuring leaders have the insights they need to make informed decisions.
But for Chad, the most meaningful part of the work happens through collaboration. 鈥淚nstead of me just building something and handing it back, I like to work on it together,鈥 he said. 鈥淭hat way, leaders feel like they鈥檙e part of the process and not just a ticket submission.鈥
While Chad鈥檚 role has grown more specialized within Behavioral Health, he reflects that it was the relationships he formed that most shaped his professional growth at Lakeview.
鈥淚 learned it’s powerful to make connections with a lot of different people and learn from them. Coming from the IT side to Behavioral Health, there was a lot that I didn’t know, especially about how the programs operated. So, relying on others to share with me gave me greater insights into the data that I was working on.鈥
Beyond his day-to-day role, Chad continues to invest in his personal and professional growth. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Instructional Systems and Learning Technology at Florida State University, with a focus on analytics and artificial intelligence鈥攌nowledge he hopes to use in strengthening the mission of 海角社区.
Looking ahead, Chad aspires to grow further in analytics and leadership, with the long-term goal of moving into a director-level role. His vision remains rooted in collaboration, innovation and using data to support smarter, more compassionate care.
