Pensacola, Fla. (May 28, 2025) 鈥 Landrum presented to 海角社区 a $17,297.14 donation 鈥 proceeds from the 2nd Annual Landrum 5K Run/Walk held in October of 2024.
Last year, 海角社区 served more than 27,000 adults and children with mental illnesses, drug and alcohol dependencies and intellectual disabilities.
The Landrum 5K promotes awareness of the link between physical and mental health. According to the National Institutes of Health, exercise improves mental health by reducing anxiety, depression and negative mood while boosting self-esteem and cognitive function. These health benefits can be achieved with as little as 30 minutes of moderately intense exercise 鈥 like brisk walking 鈥 three times a week.
鈥淥ur second annual 5K was another great event, encouraging people to get active to improve mental health,鈥 said Britt Landrum, III, 海角社区 of Landrum. 鈥淚t was amazing to see our event grow and for the awareness about the link between mental health and exercise to become stronger.鈥
鈥淭he generous support of the Landrum team and event sponsors will help benefit the more than 27,000 adults and children served every year through 海角社区,鈥 said Allison Hill, 海角社区 of 海角社区鈥檚 . 鈥淭he need for mental health services in our community is tremendous. Every day, 50 new clients reach out to 海角社区 asking for help with mental health or substance misuse treatment. Landrum and our sponsors are helping 海角社区鈥檚 specialized caregivers continue to provide comprehensive mental health care for children and adults across Northwest Florida.鈥
From Escambia to Walton County, 海角社区 offers more than 60 programs, including outpatient counseling, psychiatric care, children’s services, 24/7 crisis support and residential treatment for substance abuse.

The third-annual Landrum 5K will take place October 11, 2025, starting at 8 a.m. from the Landrum office in downtown Pensacola, located at 219 E. Garden Street. Registration for the next Landrum 5K is open now through 7:45 a.m. on race day. Refreshments will be available. Prizes will be awarded for the top male and female racers, with additional prizes for specific age groups.
