2023 Ethics in Business Award honoree

Pensacola, FL (May 1, 2023) – LifeView Group President and 海角社区, , is a 2023 Ethics in Business Award honoree. The University of West Florida (UWF) College of Business and Combined Rotary Clubs of Pensacola selected her.

Categories

Each year, someone leading a small business (49+ employees) receives the 鈥淐ombined Rotary of Pensacola Ethics in Business Award.鈥 Likewise, someone leading a large business (50+ employees) also Another is given to receives recognition. This year, Allison Hill received the award for large business. Brian Wyer, president and 海角社区 of the Gulf Coast Minority Chamber of Commerce, received the small business award.

Recipients

The committee considers community leaders who work to build a positive sense of self-worth within the business and broader community. Honorees exemplify the concept of 鈥渟ervice above self.鈥 Criteria for the award is based on adherence to high ethical standards like honesty; integrity and consistency in dealing with employees, contractors and customers; while positively enhancing the economic well-being of the firm鈥檚 stakeholders; and providing jobs, opportunities and profits.

Similarly, the 2023 awards recognize individuals from two non-profit organizations.

Allison Hill

Led by Allison, LifeView Group is a comprehensive human services organization that provides behavioral healthcare, and . Dedicated to her alma mater, Allison serves on the UWF Executive Mentor program and the UWF College of Business Advisory Council. In 2022, UWF inducted Allison into the UWF College of Business Hall of Fame. Other community affiliations include a lifetime member of Leadership Florida, a member of the Rotary Club of Pensacola and service on local and statewide boards of directors. For instance, she serves on the board of the YMCA of Northwest Florida and the Florida Network of Youth and Family Services.

鈥淚鈥檓 surrounded by people every day who chose service above self and work to help people experiencing challenges on their life journeys,鈥 Allison said. 鈥淭hey make a difference in our community, and I鈥檓 proud they let me be a part of that.鈥

Brian Wyer

Under Brian’s leadership, the Gulf Coast Minority Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization serving the minority business community. His leadership extends to community organization like the Equality Project Alliance, Rotary Downtown Club, United Way of West Florida, U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (Florida) and Escambia Pensacola Human Relation Commission board of directors.

鈥淚 am truly honored and humbled to receive this award,鈥 Wyer said. 鈥淗aving been in Rotary for two years, I’m still learning many of the processes, but the 鈥楻otary 4-Way Test鈥 helps dictate all of my actions daily. I gain a wealth of knowledge from our weekly presenters and have met outstanding leaders and visited numerous other clubs.鈥

In conclusion, both honorees are UWF graduates. Allison earned an undergraduate degree in accounting and a Master of Accountancy. Brian earned an undergraduate degree in management information systems.
